Adam Cozad to Rewrite Archangels

It’s been nearly a year since news broke that TRON: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski was developing the sci-fi thriller Archangels. Now, Variety offers an update, saying that Adam Cozad has come aboard to rewrite the screenplay.

The film, to be produced by Ridley and Tony Scott, was originally written as a spec script by newcomer Andrew Will and deals with a military group assigned to hunt down alien life forms hiding out on Earth.

Cozad wrote the upcoming adaptation of Mark Greaney’s 2009 thriller novel The Gray Man and is one of the credited writers on the upcoming Untitled Jack Ryan Project.

Kosinski is still said to be attached to direct Archangels, though it is unknown where that might fall on his schedule. He is attached to the sci-fi project Horizons (most recently rumored to head to Universal) and is also said to be developing a remake of The Black Hole for Disney.
