Rufus Sewell has signed on for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, Variety reports.
The film is slated to star Benjamin Walker as Lincoln, the man destined to become the United States’ 16th President, who must also deal with quelling attacks from bloodthirsty undead.
Sewell, who most recently appeared in The Tourist, will play Adam, the vampire leader and the story’s chief antagonist.
Described by director Timur Bekmambetov as “a very entertaining, epic history lesson,” Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is also set to star Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Alan Tudyk and Jimmi Simpson and is aiming for a June 22, 2012 release.
