ComingSoon.net has confirmed that Dan Scanlon will direct DisneyPixar’s Monsters, Inc. prequel Monsters University. Kori Rae is producing the film.
Scanlon has worked as a story artist on Cars and Toy Story 3 and directed the Cars-related short, “Mater and the Ghostlight.” Rae was a producer on “Mater’s Tall Tales” and Up.
John Goodman and Billy Crystal will return as the voices of Sulley and Mike. The film will show how they first met at Monsters University and despite their differences became good friends.
Monsters University is scheduled to hit 3D and 2D theaters on November 2, 2012.
