Joel McHale, best known as the host of “The Soup” and recently famed for his role on NBC’s “Community,” has joined the cast of Seth MacFarlane’s R-Rated comedy Ted, Deadline reports.
MacFarlane, also writing and directing, will voice the title character, a teddy bear belonging to a grown man (Mark Wahlberg) who, magically alive, has failed to leave his side since childhood and is now posing a threat to his girlfriend (Mila Kunis).
McHale is said to play a sleazy boss to Kunis’ character and is likely the same role that was originally linked to Adam Scott.
The film is also slated to star Giovanni Ribisi and should enter production shortly.
