First Look at Blade Runner Sequel Concept Art

Alcon Entertainment (via EW) has released the first official Blade Runner sequel concept art, which you can check out in the gallery below!

The current ensemble for the 35-years-later follow-up includes Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Robin Wright, Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Carla Juri, Dave BautistaBarkhad Abdi, Hiam Abbass and David Dastmalchian. Denis Villeneuve (Sicario, Prisoners) is directing the film, which will be released in theaters October 6, 2017. The film will be released by Warner Bros. in North America and Sony Pictures Releasing International will distribute in all media for all overseas territories.

Although story details are not being revealed, it has been confirmed that the Blade Runner sequel is set several decades after the 1982 original and will feature Ford reprising his iconic role as Blade Runner Rick Deckard. The film is written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and succeeds the initial story by Fancher and David Peoples, based on Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.

Frank Giustra and Tim Gamble, CEOs of Thunderbird Films, will both serve as executive producers on the Blade Runner sequel alongside Ridley Scott and Bill Carraro.
