IMAX Corporation today announced that the epic action-adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, from hit-making producer Jerry Bruckheimer, directed by Mike Newell and starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton, Sir Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina will open in 53 IMAX theaters internationally, with 20 of those IMAX locations opening this week starting on May 19. The remaining IMAX locations will open the film in conjunction with its wide release starting on May 28, 2010. The film’s international IMAX release has been digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience with IMAX DMR technology. The crystal-clear images coupled with IMAX’s customized theater geometry and powerful digital audio create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
“Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time: The IMAX Experience” is scheduled to play at the following IMAX theatres beginning May 28th.
