Robert De Niro is set to star opposite Bradley Cooper in Relativity Media’s thriller Dark Fields.
The story centers on a down-and-out New York writer (Cooper) who comes into possession of a designer drug that gives him newfound intelligence and success. De Niro will play a brilliant financial mogul who begins pursuing Cooper’s character.
Neil Burger will direct the Universal release. Based on a novel by Alan Glynn, the film’s script was written by Leslie Dixon.
Filming is set to start this May in Philadelphia.
