Rachel McAdams is the clear standout as far as I’m concerned in this new season of “True Detective“. We’ll also get to see her in Southpaw later this month and potential Oscar contender Spotlight later this year, but as far as the future is concerned, she’s only rumored to be attached to a possible Sherlock Holmes 2, but it appears she may have another big budget franchise on her plate.
Heroic Hollywood is reporting a rumor McAdams has been offered the female lead role in Doctor Strange opposite Benedict Cumberbatch playing the title character.
The report says nothing about what character she would play though some are speculating it may be that of Clea, a potential love interest for Strange.
As of now the only other confirmed member of the cast is Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One as the story centers on neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.
