What I Watched, What You Watched #300

Hardly anyone reads or comments on these posts anymore so maybe the 300th one is the best place to end it. I don’t know, just a thought, but as for the point of these articles it was two movies for me this week.

First there was Jurassic World, which scored an estimated $204.5 million at the box office, telling me a lot of you went to see it too. The “A” CinemaScore tells me a lot of people enjoyed it as well, though all I’ve pretty much seen in the comments is negativity. Second movie this week I watched just last night and it was yet another repeat viewing of Edge of Tomorrow, which I just can’t get enough of.

Other than that, I finished reading “Bird Box“, which sort of reads like the film adaptation of I am Legend — not the book, but the movie — and I’d say it’s “okay”, no great shakes though. Now I’m reading “The Last Magazine” by the late Michael Hastings and I’m about halfway through and it’s a pretty decent read, nothing mind-blowing yet as the reviews seem to insist, but there’s still plenty left to go.

Now, what did you watch? What did you read? Give me reason to keep this column alive and chat amongst yourselves.
