An official synopsis for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been released offering enough details to lay out the story structure that will likely find mankind’s fear of a god-like superhero such as Superman (Henry Cavill) at the beginning of the story, his face-off with Batman (Ben Affleck) in the middle and their ultimate coming together to take on Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) in the third act, all in a way of developing future stories involving the Dark Knight and Man of Steel along with the likes of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and whomever else gets introduced in this film.
Here’s the synopsis.
Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Harry Lennix, Diane Lane, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, Tao Okamoto, Jason Momoa, Scoot McNairy and Ray Fisher.
The film will be released in theaters on March 25, 2016.
