Aaron Berg has been brought in to write the screenplay for G.I. Joe 3 and will work with director D.J. Caruso to revamp the action franchise based on the Hasbro toyline. [THR]
James Gunn says he has turned in his treatment for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and will meet with Marvel on Friday and “will start working on the screenplay next week.” The film is already slated for a May 5, 2017 release. [ScreenRant]
Disney sent out a premiere tip sheet recently and it included two new names as members of the Avengers: Age of Ultron cast, those being Julie Delpy and Linda Cardellini. There have been rumors the Captain Marvel character, which will have her own film in 2018, will have a brief cameo in the film and this obviously makes for good speculation. The premiere will be held April 13 while the film won’t hit theaters until May 1.
