Bryan Singer has mastered the art of teasing fans on social media when it comes to production on X-Men: Apocalypse and he’s at it again, posting the above image on his Instagram account more-or-less confirming the character Angel will be seen in the new movie.
As you’ll all remember, Ben Foster played Angel in the lackluster X-Men: The Last Stand, but the X-verse timeline has since been altered so that Angel is most likely not this Angel and I wouldn’t expect Foster to return to play the character either, unless Singer is still holding back surprises.
Fans of the comics will surely speculate what this image of Angel trapped in a cage means, but over at ComicBookMovie.com they write:”Could that be an early Mr. Sinister conducting it? Who knows, but in a movie with Apocalypse, Angel not being included would have been a big mistake. Here’s hoping we get to see him become Archangel…”
Enlighten me, who is this Mr. Sinister and does this excite you as it appears Singer is definitely taking the idea of expanding the X-Men universe to a whole new level.
X-Men: Apocalypse arrives on May 27, 2016 and among those known to be in the cast you have Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Channing Tatum, Hugh Jackman, Oscar Isaac, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp and Kodi Smit-McPhee.
