‘Deadpool’ Might Not be Rated R and Segel and Pearce Line Up New Lego Movie

While it seemed guaranteed Deadpool would be rated R it seems that’s not yet the case. Speaking with EW, Ryan Reynolds was asked about whether this would be a PG-13 or R-rated movie to which he said, “That debate rages on. We’ll see.” [EW]

“Hannibal” co-producer Nick Antosca has been tapped to write the screenplay for Friday the 13th for producers Michael Bay‘s Platinum Dunes marking the second time they’ve made the film in the past decade as it has already been slated for a May 13, 2016 release. Jason Segel and Iron Man 3 scribe Drew Pearce are set to write and co-direct a new Lego movie titled The Billion Brick Race for Warner Bros. This is in addition to three other sequel/spin-off Lego movies at WB including Ninjago in 2016, The Lego Batman Movie in 2017 and The Lego Movie 2 in 2018. The story will be based on an original idea by Pearce that got Warners excited. [THR]
