There’s a reason studios should stop trying to hide elements of their films from the online audience, and it’s because the first look fans get at something you’ve been trying to hide should not be in the form of a washed out Instagram picture (via albertoheineken26), but that’s the case when it comes to The Thing from Josh Trank‘s upcoming The Fantastic Four reboot as you can see below. What you can’t tell is the human form of the giant rock man is played by Jamie Bell in the movie.
Unlike the version played by Michael Chiklis in the previous attempts to bring the superhero family to life, this will be an all-CG creation and, I assume, more akin to the Hulk from The Avengers than the foam rubber character Chiklis played. I have to assume 20th Century Fox will try and release an official picture soon enough, but for now this is what you get.
Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
