A Hawkeye Spin-Off? Plus ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Hawkeye Poster Revealed

As with all character posters this isn’t much to look at, but just below you have the character poster for Jeremy Renner‘s Hawkeye from Avengers: Age of Ultron, which the actor’s publicity team revealed on Renner’s WhoSay page this morning.

One thing more interesting than the poster, however, is an interview The Playlist noticed from The Daily Beast in which Renner acknowledges the fact he’s signed on for a solo film should the studio want to make one, “I think most actors will sign on to do, like… Captain America 1-3 and then The Avengers 1-3, and then you’re done. For me, I signed on to The Avengers 1-3 and then Hawkeye, in case they want to do a Hawkeye spin-off.” I don’t expect it to happen, but I guess anything is possible.

Renner does say he and Hulk both have larger roles in the upcoming Age of Ultron saying, “Hulk has a more prominent role, and I have a more prominent role. There are a lot more scenes of the entire Avengers gang together–both in and out of the cape, so to speak. It’s making me become a total fanboy. It’s pretty fun to be a part of.”

Oh, and if you saw the poster.

Ultron hits theaters on May 1.
