Featured below is a new short film from director Matthew Frost titled Aspirational, featuring Kirsten Dunst as herself. With the continued rise of social media the film says a lot about today’s culture, which isn’t so much celebrity obsessed as much as it is obsessed with the idea of being a celebrity.
I love Dunst’s reaction shots in this thing and while it isn’t saying anything we don’t already know, I would love to read responses from a group of 100 people asking “What would you do if you met Kirsten Dunst in public?” both before and then after watching the short, just to see how many of the completely unaware people in society would be able to interpret the simple message of the piece and how they’d respond.
