New ‘Fury’ Poster Tells Us ‘War Never Ends Quietly’

Last week I posted Fury (Columbia Pictures) shared some thoughts on the film:

[Brad Pitt] was fantastic, but in a Pitt way so not sure if the Academy will go for that too hard. I would say Jon Bernthal could get a supporting nomination for sure. I would be shocked if it didn’t get nominated for directing, writing, cinematography, and picture though. Only thing I could see standing in its way is that it is one of the bleaker movies I have ever seen.

I’m not sure what “in a Pitt way” means, but the bleak nature of the film comes as no surprise as we’ve already heard about how dark and intense the World War II tank thriller is.

Set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945, as the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy (Pitt) commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany. Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Scott Eastwood, Jon Bernthal and Jason Isaacs co-star.

Today a new poster for the film has arrived and can be seen below along with the most recent trailer.
