New ‘Avengers 2’ Pictures, Hawkeye in ‘Captain America 3’ Rumors and ‘Winter Soldier’ Easter Eggs Revealed

Empire has released the above new picture from behind-the-scenes of Avengers: Age of Ultron featuring Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and director Joss Whedon showing him how to properly shoot his bow.

Meanwhile, Renner recently spoke with Collider and gave hints we may be seeing more of Hawkeye sooner rather than later. “There are rumblings of Captain America 3,” he said. “I don’t know what’s going to happen there. I’ve got to find the time, man. [Laughs] I’m trying to stay home and I can’t.”

At the same time, Captain America 3 co-director Joe Russo talked about what other Avengers may be showing up in the new film similar to Black Widow’s (Scarlett Johansson) role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier saying they’ve already got someone set… could it be Hawkeye?

“That’s such a hard question because we’ve kind of already done that. Do they have to be under contract with Marvel? Maybe they are at another studio. When I started collecting, The Secret Wars was one of the first books I ever bought, so that’s always been an obsession of mine to see something of that scale done – a crossover. I don’t know if that would ever be possible, with all the different situations at the studios. But I would love to see a lot of characters on screen together.”

Russo also spoke with ComicBook.com about the film, which is slated for a May 6, 2016 release, and who will and won’t be back saying:

“Certainly Captain America will be back. The expectation would be that Bucky will be back and there’s certain characters in the Marvel Universe that Cap has a strong connection to but we’ve also got some tricks up our sleeve for this one an we’re hard at work. That’s a very crowded summer and there’s high expectations so we’re all hard at work trying to exceed those expectations and really carve out a big, splashy idea for Captain America 3.”

Oh, and here’s one more new picture from Avengers: Age of Ultron courtesy of Empire where Whedon said, “It’s more epic and in other ways it’s more noirish and suspect and devious and specific.” Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige then added, “Ultron, he’s got a touch of the apocalypse in him, [he] was the villain Joss wanted, from midway through production on the first film, to have serious repercussions for The Avengers.”

And finally, if you like Easter Eggs, here are all the little secrets found in The Winter Soldier in two separate videos thanks to a heads up from Dark Horizons.
