Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) will look to make The Invisible Woman after Planet of the Apes 3 which is set to hit theaters on July 29, 2016. Reeves told ComingSoon.net, “[I]f I don’t make [The Invisible Woman] right before [Planet of the Apes 3], I’ll make it right after the next ape film.” Naomi Watts was once attached to star in the project, which Reeves has described as “a very intimate character story with a similar tone to ‘Let Me In,’ a Hitchcockian suspense style. Chandor will release A Most Violent Year later this year and he’s already looking to the future as he’s in talks to next helm Deepwater Horizon for Lionsgate, Summit Entertainment and Participant Media. The big-scale drama focuses on the April 20, 2010 explosion of the oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico that caused a massive offshore oil spill that created the second-largest U.S. environmental disaster.
