Don’t expect much, but Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn confirmed on Twitter his Slither star Nathan Fillion shot “a very small fun cameo” for the director in the upcoming movie. No word on the role, you’ll have to wait for August 1 for that.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in plastic cinema, in an interview with Collider, G.I. Joe 3 producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura confirmed Jon M. Chu would not be back to direct the third installment. He told the site, “We’re just starting [to talk to directors]. We’re negotiating with a writer right now, and once we close that deal — which should be any moment — then we’ll have a story locked down. I’m really excited about it.”
The film is expected to start shooting in early 2015 for a 2016 release.
