Universal is going back to their horror roots later this year with Dracula Untold and, in fact, they are going farther back than that as this latest take on the story of Vlad the Impaler will be an origin story. Luke Evans stars as the young prince who, when the lives of his wife and child are put in danger by a bloodthirsty sultan, risks his soul to save them, and in the process becomes the first vampire.
Directed by first timer Gary Shore, the film co-stars Dominic Cooper, Sarah Gadon and Samantha Barks and is set for an October 17 release.
Today the first poster has arrived, which you can check out below and I can only assume the first trailer isn’t too far behind.
