Adam Driver Rumored as Han and Leia’s Son in ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’

When Adam Driver landed a role in J.J. AbramsStar Wars: Episode VII it was said he would be playing the film’s lead villain. Now there’s a new report via Jedi News that suggests that’s true… and it isn’t:

Sounds like Adam Driver is NOT going to play a villain…sort of.

He will be playing the son of Han and Leia, and it seems he will be seduced to the Dark Side, and a main plot point for the movie will be their attempt to rescue him.

I actually like the sound of this… somewhat. It sounds almost like they have just decided to go the opposite route of George Lucas‘ original trilogy as we follow one character’s path to the Dark Side. However, I’m not sure if this rumor jibes with recent speculation that John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and an as-yet cast female character are the film’s three leads alongside Harrison Ford as Han Solo. That is, unless those three join Solo on a mission to save his son.

One thing is for certain, I just hope the writing in these next three films improves on what we had for the prequel trilogy. Abrams has lined up some decent talent for this thing so please let them talk about something more than their hatred of sand… you know, because it’s coarse and gets everywhere.
