Couple of brief horror stories, the first of which confirms the coming of V/H/S 3, which has received an apt title in V/H/S Viral with individual installments in the collaborative effort to be directed by Todd Lincoln (director of the absolutely terrible The Apparition), the capable Nacho Vigalondo (Timecrimes), Marcel Sarmiento (Deadgirl), Gregg Bishop (Dance of the Dead) and Resolution helmers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. The story will centers on “fame-obsessed teens who unwittingly become stars of the next internet sensation.” That’s the first picture just above. [Screen Daily]
And in a bit of what is really more of a rumor than anything else, word out of Cannes is The Weinstein Co. is shopping around the idea of resurrecting Halloween 3D, which I never removed from the database after it was thought Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) would direct, but that never came to be. Whether this would be another remake or a continuation of Rob Zombie‘s films is unknown. [BD]
