X2: X-Men United is, for my money, one of the better superhero movies ever released and the opening sequence featuring Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, and his White House attack, is one of the best scenes in a superhero movie. That said, it seems pretty clear to me Bryan Singer is attempting to recapture that magic with this clip featuring Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and her attack on a meeting head by X-Men: Days of Future Past baddie Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage), but it doesn’t have the same umph of the X2 scene, not be a longshot.
