The official site for Darren Aronofsky‘s Noah has been updated to include some new bits of audio, part of it is 32 seconds of background music, which Aronofsky has confirmed on Twitter is a taste of Clint Mansell‘s score for the film. Listen directly below.
For the score, Mansell reteamed with the Kronos Quartet, whom he worked with on Aronofsky’s The Fountain and Requiem for a Dream. As far as I can tell there still isn’t a release date for the score announced, but the film will be hitting theaters on March 28.
Noah is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah (Russell Crowe) is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood. The screenplay was written by Aronofsky and Ari Handel and revised by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter John Logan (Gladiator, Hugo).
