Fox has released five new pictures from the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past, yet another installment in the long-running X-Men franchise with X-Men and X2 helmer Bryan Singer back in the director’s chair with plenty of his familiar cast members around him.
The X-Men franchise is a curious one in the latest fad of superhero movies as it has delivered one of the best superhero movies in the last several years in X2 as well as delivered several duds, while continuing to maintain some level of franchise cohesion, largely led by Hugh Jackman who just can’t seem to let the Wolverine character go.
Jackman is back once again with X-Men cast members, past and present, as a war for the survival of the mutant species breaks out across two time periods. Members of the original X-Men film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from X-Men: First Class, in a battle that must change the past – to save our future.
