Over the weekend Jeff Sneider of TheWrap.com started a little Twitter rumor that Quentin Tarantino has had some time to cool off and may actually be considering moving forward with his Western The Hateful Eight after getting rather upset after the script began leaking out.
Sneider says Tarantino has reached out to Samuel L. Jackson, though neither Tarantino’s or Jackson’s reps would confirm the report. Tarantino will apparently set about rewriting the script, which he has said previously was a first draft.
In other Tarantino related news, World Star Hip Hop (via The Playlist) has posted the following, seven-minute audition tape Tyrese Gibson (Fast & Furious 6) made in an attempt to land the title role in Django Unchained. Personally I don’t think it works as this just isn’t a role I believe to be suited for Gibson’s talents, but it’s an interesting watch nonetheless and I love seeing the attempt being made.
