It’s the second-to-last weekend of the year and we have ourselves an interesting little race with two of this weekend’s titles.
First for the obvious, both Laremy and the readers seem to generally agree on the fate of both Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and American Hustle as there is only a small discrepancy in predictions. It’s a little bit of a wider margin with Saving Mr. Banks as $800,000 separates Laremy’s predictions from the reader aggregate, but when it comes to the family feature Walking with Dinosaurs there is a wider margin.
Laremy, perhaps speaking as someone that has seen the film, pegged Dinosaurs at $12.8 million, almost $4 million above tracking. It seems the readership was paying closer attention to the tracking and went with a safer, $9.1 million prediction. Laremy is out on a limb on this one, but if enough families have seen Frozen and are looking for one last outing before Christmas he may be able to eek one out of the readers on this title.
