A batch of new pictures from Martin Scorsese‘s upcoming Christmas Day release of The Wolf of Wall Street have found their way online as we continue to scrounge for scraps related to the film. Of course, the most frustrating thing about the film is that it was supposed to be in theaters this past weekend, November 15, before being delayed as Scorsese simply couldn’t hit the date. Thankfully, it will arrive in time to be seen this year, though I have learned the only current Seattle screening will take place while I’m away on a long-planned vacation, which means I may be headed to the theaters on Christmas Day unless something changes.
[amz asin=”0553384775″ size=”small”]Based on Jordan Belfort’s tell-all autobiography, The Wolf of Wall Street centers on Belfort (Leonardo DiCaprio), a Long Island penny stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in a massive 1990s securities fraud case that involved widespread corruption on Wall Street and in the corporate banking world, including mob infiltration.
In addition to the pictures, The Bioscopist sent me the following video about a week ago, and I just didn’t have anywhere to post it until now, featuring DiCaprio talking about Belfort in a rather flattering light, though I have a hard time believing anyone that has read even a page of this guy’s autobiography think of him in a flattering light. However, as you’ll notice in the video, DiCaprio is very specific about the words he uses, calling him a “true motivator” but in now way does he compliment him as a good person.

Joining DiCaprio in the film is Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jon Favreau, Rob Reiner, Jean Dujardin, PJ Byrne and Kenneth Choi.
Check out the rest of the pictures directly below, I love the last one with Hill’s giant fake teeth gleaming as DiCarpio envelopes the rest of his head.
