Just like that the list of 2014 Oscar screenplays available for download balloons to a total of thirteen including a massive batch from Sony Pictures Classics such as Before Midnight by Richard Linklater, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy and Foreign Language hopefuls The Past by Asghar Farhadi and Wadjda by Haifaa Al-Mansour.
Universal has also added Peter Morgan‘s script for Rush and Disney has made available the screenplays for Monsters University and the current front-runner for Best Animated Feature, Frozen, written by Jennifer Lee with a story by Lee, Chris Buck and Shane Morris. It’s curious it’s considered Original, however, considering it was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen, but I really guess being “inspired by” something instead of “based on” is quite important these days.
