A new trailer for Ben Stiller‘s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty has just premiered and it runs a whopping three minutes long and I only skimmed through this one, but just seeing the part where the birds fly around to create Kristin Wiig‘s face seems like an example of the sickly sweet kind of images that turned some of the New York Film Festival critics off.
[amz asin=”0060932872″ size=”small”]Of course, the conversation on this one is far from over as several others quite liked it and some Oscar prognosticators are telling us to expect a Best Picture nomination. The film doesn’t hit theaters until December 25 so there is still a lot of time between now and then to find out.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is a remake of the 1947 Danny Kaye starrer, which itself was based on the 1939 short story by James Thurber. The story centers on Mitty, a man who escapes his unexciting daily life by delving into elaborate daydreams in which he is suddenly a heroic character.
