‘Out of the Furnace’, ‘Jackass: Bad Grandpa’ and ‘Gimme Shelter’ in Today’s MPAA Ratings

We’ve got an interesting collection of films in today’s MPAA ratings bulletin beginning with AFI Festival Gala participant Out of the Furnace starring Christian Bale, Zoe Saldana and Casey Affleck among many others. The film is directed by Crazy Heart helmer Scott Cooper and is pegged to be an Oscar possibility, but no one has seen it yet so it’s a big question mark for right now.
Next we have a couple of young actresses in new films including Vanessa Hudgens as a pregnant teen runaway in Gimme Shelter and Saoirse Ronan in Kevin Macdonald‘s How I Live Now and both have received an R-rating.
Finally, to no surprise Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa scored an R as Johnny Knoxville puts on some makeup and attempts to annoy average citizens. Should be funny.
