What I Watched, What You Watched #211

This was a week where I was coming home after watching 27 movies in about nine days at the Toronto Film Festival and as a result the last seven days where almost entirely devoid of movies. In fact, the only movie I watched was Ingmar Bergman’s Autumn Sonata, which was just released on Blu-ray from Criterion and I’ll have a review for you next week.

I’m also hoping to finally get my review of Hayao Miyazaki’s The Wind Rises online for you guys next week as well, I’ve simply tried to take a brief step back from movie watching and reviewing this last week after the onslaught of Toronto films. I can only hope you understand.

However, at the same time I’m hoping you did the exact opposite. I’m hoping some of you were able to get out there and check out Prisoners and that those of you living in New York and Los Angeles were able to find a screening of Rush. Let me know what you ended up seeing in theaters, at home or on a plane in the comments below.
