Seriously? This is a ‘Jurassic World’ Pitch Reel?

Just below is a piece of video that, according to the YouTube poster, played as part of Iain McCaig‘s presentation at the recent Star Wars Celebration Europe II convention in Germany and the assumption is that it is a pitch reel for Jurassic World (aka Jurassic Park IV), which was recently dated for a June 12, 2015 release.

When asked on Twitter if the footage was tied to the new movie or concept from a trashed Jurassic Park video game, all producer Frank Marshall said was that the scene is “not a part of the movie.” So, whether or not it is part of the concept for the film remains to be seen, but it does end with the film’s title, albeit not the title treatment you see above.

Obviously, the title Jurassic World instead of Jurassic Park suggests the dinosaurs are no longer contained to a small island, but instead of found their way all over the globe. This makes sense given today’s cinematic landscape wherein films with a larger international setting do far better at the worldwide box-office, take World War Z and the $536 million it’s made worldwide so far as the most recent example. However, if the dinos are simply going to become man hunters this movie has already lost my interest.

Give the video a watch below and let me know what you think. [STYD]
