Warner Bros. recently premiered Alfonso Cuaron‘s Gravity at the Venice Film Festival and it will soon show in Telluride followed by a Toronto showing (where I’ll be seeing it). The film has received glowing reviews so far, which may raise expectations, but considering how long we’ve waited to see it I’m not sure the anticipation level could be any higher.
Today a new poster for the film has premiered giving us yet another reason to talk about the film which finds Sandra Bullock and George Clooney playing astronauts Dr. Ryan Stone and Matt Kowalsky on a seemingly routine spacewalk when disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone–tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.
