The Wolverine is just around the corner. The film marks the final, major comic book superhero hitting theaters this summer, though it feels more like the Hugh Jackman-led project is the forgotten comic book film of the summer. The film marks the sixth time Jackman will have appeared as Wolverine in an X-Men franchise film with X-Men: Days of Future Past soon to mark appearance number seven. Are audiences weary of the character or will they continue to give Jackman the benefit of the doubt?
Today four new clips from the film have arrived online, giving you an even deeper look at the new film based on the celebrated comic book arc, finding Logan (Jackman) in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
James Mangold (Knight & Day) is directing with a supporting cast that includes Rila Fukushima as Yukio, Will Yun Lee as the Silver Samurai, Tao Okamoto as Mariko and Svetlana Khodchenkova as Viper.
The following clips introduce you to a few of those characters as well as Famke Janssen‘s return as Jean Grey.
The Wolverine its theaters on July 26.
