If you took a moment to look at my tentative screening schedule for the 2013 Cannes Film Festival then you noticed I’ll be seeing Jim Jarmusch‘s Only Lovers Left Alive in the afternoon on Friday, May 24.
The film was a late addition to the schedule, but one many are looking forward to, myself included, as it centers on two vampires (Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston) who have been in love for centuries and it appears to have a very strong musical influence, evident in the first of the two clips from the film I’ve added just below.
The second of the two clips features two of the film’s co-stars, Anton Yelchin as Ian and Mia Wasikowska as Ava. John Hurt and Jeffrey Wright also star.
I included more of my thoughts on this film in my top ten most anticipated film of the festival, and of those ten Only Lovers Left Alive is included.
