Universal premiered the following new poster for Despicable Me 2 and I couldn’t help but start searching the sea of minions to see how many were truly unique. Certainly a lot of them are, but it’s also pretty easy to spot the doppelgangers.
As for Despicable Me 2, in case you missed the news about a week ago, Al Pacino is no longer voicing the film’s lead villain, Eduardo, instead it will be Benjamin Bratt. I didn’t report the Pacino drop off, but an official statement from Universal was rather standard citing “creative reasons” as the motivation behind his departure.
Despicable Me 2 is still on track for a July 3 release with Steve Carell back as Gru and Steve Coogan, Miranda Cosgrove, Kristen Wiig and Russell Brand also lending their voices to the production.
