The fan hunger for a great Superman film is undeniable and even beyond the fandom, I think most everyone wants Man of Steel to be great. There was a level of excitement for Christopher Nolan‘s Batman films that couldn’t be matched and it seemed to defy typical audience taste as everyone from self-proclaimed cinephiles to your rapid fanboys wanted to see what The Dark Knight Rises had to offer. While excitement for Man of Steel won’t reach those levels, if Zack Snyder has delivered, this could be his Batman Begins and the future for Superman and DC at Warner Bros. could become much more exciting.
