There is a lot of great imagery in Harmony Korine‘s Spring Breakers and yet, while I was putting together the Monthly Movie Wallpaper for March featuring an image from the film I had to mine the HD trailers for the best picture I could find that also wasn’t loaded with artifacts. Truth is A24 focused the marketing effort so heavily on selling sex and spring break debauchery they forgot to highlight how great much of the film looks.
Now in its third weekend of release, second week in wide release, A24 has debuted the following poster (via IndieWire) featuring a shot from the film where James Franco as Alien serenades his gun-toting female posse — Rachel Korine, Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens — to the tunes of Britney Spears’ “Everytime”. This is a poster I’d put on my wall.
