I’m half looking forward to Olympus Has Fallen and half-nervous it’s going to be a ridiculous mess. I like the fact it’s rated R because that means FilmDistrict hasn’t handcuffed director Antoine Fuqua, such as was the case when Touchstone pulled the rug out from under him in the middle of directing King Arthur. Yet, Fuqua’s filmography doesn’t exactly stand out, otherwise, as a helmer that’s going to deliver each time out. I’m as much a fan of Training Day as everyone else, but it’s time to deliver something else worth talking about.
