Universal continues the Les Miserables slow burn this morning with another character poster, this time Russell Crowe playing the policeman Javert gets the attention.
Set in 19th-century France, Les Miserables finds Javert hunting the ex-prisoner Valjean (Hugh Jackman) whose broken parole and ultimately agrees to care for Cosette, the young daughter of a factory worker (Anne Hathaway).
Directed by Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech) and co-starring Helena Bonham Carter, Eddie Redmayne, Amanda Seyfried, Sacha Baron Cohen and Samantha Barks, the film will hit domestic theaters on Christmas Day (the poster above notes the UK release date).
