Harmony Korine‘s Spring Breakers will premiere at the 69th Venice International Film Festival and will follow that up immediately with a North American premiere in Toronto and Muse Film has debuted a first clip from the film as a result featuring stars Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Rachel Korine and Ashley Benson.
The story follows four college girls who plan to fund their spring break getaway by burglarizing a fast food shack, but the girls hit a roadblock when they are arrested on drug charges. Hung over and clad only in bikinis, the girls appear before a judge but are bailed out unexpectedly by Alien (James Franco), an infamous local thug who takes them under his wing and leads them on the wildest spring break trip in history.
This is a film I feel I’ve been hearing about forever and it is now just around the corner and looking for distribution.
