Just above is the new UK poster for Rian Johnson‘s Looper, yet another upcoming film starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt alongside the likes of The Dark Knight Rises, Premium Rush and Lincoln as he had to, unfortunately, drop out of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained.
Looking at it one thing struck me, which was to wonder what was inside the time machine?
To read the synopsis, which tells us the future-set thriller centers on the idea of time travel in which the mob uses to dispose of someone by sending their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Gordon-Levitt) – kills them. Joe is getting paid handsomely, but suddenly the mob decides to shut things down and sends Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) back in time to be killed.
That said, you could say, “Oh, that’s just money inside there.” But look at the below enlargement of the image… that doesn’t look like stacks of money to me. It looks like clay bricks or external hard drives. I could be just imagining things and it simply is money and not meant to be looked at closely, but I thought it was more interesting to explore than to simply post the picture and say, “Look, a poster.”
Then again, I could have just said the numbers on the wall unlock a secret url at 07153902935.com, which unlocks the new picture of Jeff Daniels in the film, which I’ve added below the poster enlargement.
Looper hits theaters on September 28. If you haven’t seen the trailer yet click here.
