Maiwenn starred as the blue alien opera singer Diva Plavalaguna in The Fifth Element. She has since gone on to become a writer, actor and director, most recently winning the Jury Prize at last year’s Cannes Film Festival for Polisse, which then went on to be nominated for 13 Cesar Awards, which tied for the most nominations ever. It would eventually win only two for best female newcomer (Naidra Ayadi) and editing.
Polisse hits theaters domestically on May 18, and you can read my Cannes review here. I only thought I’d mention all of that as I present a green screen look at Maiwenn’s full diva performance, which wasn’t used in its entirety in the film.
