What Film Do You Think Would Have been the Tenth Best Picture Nominee?

I was just sitting here listening to Sasha Stone and Jeff Wells on their podcast and got to thinking about yesterday’s Best Picture nominations and wondering just what film would have made it into that tenth slot had there been ten nominees instead of nine.

Since I predicted it would be nominated, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is my first response, but then I think I could look at the field and make a case for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy or Bridesmaids. Those three plus The Ides of March or Drive are the five I believe sat on the outside looking in taking into account all the other nominations, but I wanted to offer up this poll and see what you thought.

So vote below and leave your thoughts and reasoning in the comments.

And if you vote “Other” have the courtesy to comment and say what other film you think would have filled that slot because for the life of me I can’t think of any other film that would have had a legitimate chance.

SIDE NOTE: Wells mentions on the podcast he spoke with Matthew Libatique who will again be serving as cinematographer for Darren Aronofsky on Noah and that production is set to begin in July in New York and Iceland for a Fall 2013 release. He also mentions they are still looking for a lead and more specifically “a guy in his forties.” So, there’s that.
