I started watching this short, 27-second teaser for Todd Solondz‘s Dark Horse, which will have its premiere at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, and at first I thought something was wrong. The actors weren’t moving. Was the teaser just a still image? Then Jordan Gelber as Abe finally spoke up. I am assuming the person laying face down on the bed is Selma Blair as Miranda, a thirtysomething girl with arrested development, but I can’t be certain.
However, one thing is for certain, the star of the show has yet to be seen as Justin Bartha plays a thirtysomething guy, also with arrested development, who falls for Miranda, but moving out of his junior high school bedroom proves too much and tragedy ensues.

One piece of advice, the audio on the teaser is quite low, so you may need to turn up the volume on your computer to hear it.
