The Playlist has stumbled upon the following clip from Terrence Malick’s soon-to-premiere-in-Cannes The Tree of Life featuring Brad Pitt as some kind of tough guy dad. I say “some kind” because I didn’t actually watch the clip. I’ve avoided the trailers, the clips and any kind of marketing I could so I can go into my 8:30 AM screening on the 16th completely unaware of what to expect. I’m hoping for the absolute best and that the wait and the hype will have been worth it.
I will have my review of The Tree of Life as soon as I can following my screening and you can rest assured it will be followed by several more online as it is screening in the States later that day. The verdict will be reached and you will be able to see it for yourself when Fox Searchlight begins rolling it out on May 27th. Have a look at the clip below.
