Warner Bros. 2011 Preview: ‘The Apparition,’ ‘The Rite,’ ‘Red Riding Hood’ and More

In an attempt to try and stick with some sort of a theme with these Warner Bros. 2011 previews after the first one addressed the upcoming sequels, this batch of films takes a look at the more thrilling films from their upcoming slate. Of course, a film such as Red Riding Hood looks like it will be as thrilling as any film in the Twilight franchise has been, but please allow me a little leeway here.

This batch includes the Anthony Hopkins exorcism feature The Rite, Ashley Greene and Tom Felton’s supernatural thriller The Apparition, the Liam Neeson thriller Unknown, Catherine Hardwicke’s Red Riding Hood and unfortunately the only film of the bunch without a preview still… Steven Soderbergh’s Contagion.

Featured below is a teaser image from each film, the release date, a cast list, the director, synopsis and a link to look at the gallery of images sent over. Each link opens in a new window so once you are done just close it and you’ll return to this article.

I have two more previews on the way, so continue to look around and stay tuned for more.

For years, the people have maintained an uneasy truce with the beast, offering the creature a monthly animal sacrifice. But under a blood red moon, the wolf has upped the stakes by taking a human life. Hungry for revenge, the people call on famed werewolf hunter, Father Solomon (Gary Oldman), to help them kill the wolf. But Solomon’s arrival brings unintended consequences as he warns that the wolf, who takes human form by day, could be any one of them.
