IMDB just unveiled these four brand new character posters from Paramount’s True Grit along with a slightly different one sheet for the film, which is likely to start getting plenty more promotion as we move into the final month of the year.
Directed by the Coen brothers, True Grit centers on 14-year-old Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) whose father has been shot in cold blood by the coward Tom Chaney (Josh Brolin), and she is determined to bring him to justice. She turns to the drunken U.S. Marshal, Rooster Cogburn (Jeff Bridges) and sets out with him to hunt down Chaney. Matt Damon also stars in the film as a Texas Ranger named LeBoeuf who’s also hunting Chaney for an unrelated murder. Barry Pepper and Paul Rae co-star.
True Grit is set to hit theaters on December 22 and was just rated PG-13 for some intense sequences of western violence including disturbing images.
